Vendavo Privacy Policy

We are concerned about privacy issues and want you to be familiar with how we collect, use and share information we receive about our customers and users and the options available to you. If you have any questions, you may contact us (see the “Contact Information ” section below.)

This Privacy Policy describes the personally identifiable information and other information collected or generated when you use Vendavo’s websites, including webdev.vendavo.com and university.vendavo.com (the “Sites”) and Vendavo’s solutions and services (the “Services”), and how your information is used, shared and protected. It also explains the choices you have relating to your personally identifiable information and how you can contact us.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing the Sites, using the Services and submitting your personally identifiable information through the Sites and Services, you give your consent for your personally identifiable information and other information to be used, processed and transferred by Vendavo as described in this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy does not cover our privacy practices related to information submitted to the Careers section of the Sites. If you submit information to Vendavo’s Careers section of the Sites, please refer to Vendavo’s Careers Privacy Policy.

The Vendavo entity responsible for the processing of your information will depend on how you interact with our Sites and Services and where you are located in the world. The relevant Vendavo entity (Vendavo UK Limited, Vendavo CZ s.r.o., Vendavo Ventures, Inc.) and Vendavo, Inc. are referred to as “Vendavo” or “we”.

PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

Collection of Personally Identifiable Information through the Sites and Services

“Personally Identifiable Information” is information that identifies you as an individual, including: name, postal address, telephone number and email address.  We will ask you when we need Personally Identifiable Information, including when you request information about Vendavo, when you sign up for email newsletters, blog and email updates, when you sign up for events or when you download content. We may also collect Personally Identifiable Information through our offline forms.

Use of Personally Identifiable Information

We and our third-party service providers may use Personally Identifiable Information collected through the Sites and Services:

  • to respond to your inquiries and fulfill your requests;
  • to provide you with more effective customer service;
  • to send administrative information to you, for example, critical updates, notifications and information regarding the Sites and Services and changes to our terms, conditions, and policies;
  • to send you marketing communications that we believe may be of interest to you;

Disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information

Your Personally Identifiable Information collected through the Sites and Services may be disclosed:

  • among our affiliates (identified above) for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Vendavo, Inc., is the party responsible for the management of the Personally Identifiable Information jointly used by it and its affiliates;
  • to our third-party service providers who provide services such as website hosting, packaging, public relations, event registration, mailing, answering customer questions about the Sites and Services, and sending information about our Sites and Services, special offers and other new services;
  • directly by you, on message boards, chat, profile pages and blogs and other services to which you are able to post information and materials (including, without limitation, our social media pages). Please note that any information you post or disclose through these services will become public information, and may be available to users of the Sites and Services and to the general public. Retention of Personally Identifiable Information

We will retain your Personally Identifiable Information for as long as your account is active or for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

OTHER INFORMATION

Collection of Other Information

“Other Information” is any information that is linked or reasonably linkable to a particular computer or device, but does not reveal your specific identity or directly identify an individual, including: browser information; Internet Service Provider; Internet Protocol (IP) address (a number automatically assigned to the computer or device that you are using by your Internet Service Provider); time spent on the Sites and Services, pages visited, language preferences, the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to the Sites, and other anonymous data.

We and our third-party service providers may collect Other Information in a variety of ways, including through: your browser or device; your use of the Sites; the use of pixel tags and other similar technologies; your IP address; the aggregation of information; web cache; and cookies (cookies are pieces of information stored directly on the computer that you are using).

Use of Other Information

We may use Other Information from the Sites and Services:

  • to operate, improve, analyze and manage the Sites and Services;
  • to ensure the Sites and Services function properly;
  • to track the actions of users of the Sites and Services for purposes of measuring and reporting on the success of marketing campaigns via pixel tags (also known as web beacons and clear GIFs);
  • to calculate usage levels of the Sites and Services, helping diagnose server problems and administer the Sites and Services via your IP Address;
  • for security purposes, to facilitate navigation, display information more effectively, and to personalize your experience while using the Sites and Services; and

We may partner with certain third parties to collect Other Information through the Sites and Services to engage in analysis, auditing, research, and reporting. These third parties may set and access cookies on your computer or other device and may also use web logs or web beacons. At this time, we do not honor “Do Not Track” headers and similar mechanisms.

We will not use data we collect for the purpose of determining employment eligibility, credit eligibility, health care eligibility, or insurance eligibility and underwriting and pricing.

We will not collect or use sensitive data, such as Social Security Numbers or Government identifiers, insurance plan numbers, financial account numbers; information about past, present, or potential future health or medical conditions or treatments, including genetic, genomic, and family medical history; and sexual orientation unless we have obtained your prior consent.

What is a Cookie?

A cookie is a standard feature of websites that allows us to store small amounts of data on your computer about your visit to our Sites. What cookies do we use?

You can review and edit your personal information and any contact preferences provided through the Sites and Services by contacting us. You have the right to access your personal information and to modify and delete it.  If you ask to have certain of your personal information deleted, you may no longer have access to our Sites or Services.

If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter communications or other emails, you may opt-out of receiving them by following the instructions included in each newsletter or email or by otherwise contacting us by email or mail.

Please note that we may need to retain certain information for mandatory record keeping purposes and/or to complete any transactions that you began prior to your request.

This Privacy Policy does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy, information or other practices of any third parties, including our vendors or any other third party operating any site or service to which the Services link. The inclusion of a link on the Sites or Services does not imply endorsement of the linked site or service by us or by our affiliates.

SECURITY OF PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

We seek to use reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures to protect Personally Identifiable Information and Other Information within our organization from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration and/or destruction. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of any account you might have with us has been compromised), please immediately notify us of the problem by contacting us in accordance with the “Contact Information ” section below.

USE OF SERVICES BY MINORS

Vendavo’s Services are not intended for nor directed to individuals under the age of thirteen (13), and we request that these individuals do not provide Personally Identifiable Information through any of the Services.

CROSS-BORDER TRANSFER

The personal information we collect or generate in the context of our Sites and Services is stored in the USA, but may also be stored and processed in any country where we have facilities and/or employees, or in which we engage service providers. By using the Sites and Services you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside of your country of residence, including the USA, which may have different data protection rules than those of your country of residence.  When we transfer your personal information to recipients in other countries, including the USA, we will protect that information as described in this Privacy Policy and in compliance with applicable law.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) or Switzerland, we take measures to comply with applicable legal requirements and ensure adequate protection for the transfer of personal data to recipients in countries outside of the EEA or Switzerland.

UPDATES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Applicable law and our practices change over time. If we decide to update our Privacy Policy, we will post the changes through our Sites and Services. Vendavo Careers Privacy Policy

Vendavo, Inc. and its affiliates (“Vendavo,” “we,” “our,”) value your trust and are committed to the responsible management, use and protection of personal information. This Careers Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes our practices in connection with all the information that we collect through the Careers section of our website (“Careers Site”), other online sources such as LinkedIn and offline in connection with your application for a job or internship with Vendavo. Personal information submitted elsewhere on our websites and through our services will be used in accordance with our general online Privacy Policy.

YOUR CONSENT

By submitting an application to Vendavo you are deemed to have accepted the terms of this Policy. If you do not accept this Policy, you will not be able to apply for a position online.

By agreeing to this Careers Privacy Policy, you agree that your personal information may be transferred to the United States or any other country where Vendavo may conduct business, which may have a different data protection regime than the country in which you reside.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information You Provide

We may collect the following information from you in connection with your application:

  • Name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, and other contact information;
  • Username and password;
  • Work authorization status;
  • CV, résumé, cover letter, previous work experience and education information;
  • Skills;
  • Professional and other work-related licenses, permits and certifications held;
  • Information relating to references;
  • Background information through background checks; and
  • Any other information you elect to provide to us (e.g., employment preferences, willingness to relocate, current salary, desired salary, awards or professional memberships).

We ask that you avoid submitting the following sensitive information, except where such information is legally required: race, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, nationality, national origin, ethnic origin, religion, beliefs or creed, age, disability, marital status, veteran status or genetic information. For applicants in the EU, we also ask that you not submit trade union membership information.

To the extent the personal information you provide contains details of your: racial or ethnic origin; political opinions or beliefs; religious beliefs; membership in a trade union or political party; physical or mental health or condition; sexual orientation; commission (or alleged commission) of an offence or related proceedings; job evaluations or educational records, you expressly authorize Vendavo to handle such details for the purposes of your job application.

If your application is successful, Vendavo may engage a third party to conduct appropriate background checks, depending on the role applied for and the laws of the country in which you reside.  You may be asked to provide personal information in order for those background checks to be carried out.  If applicable, details will be provided at that time, and your specific consent sought as required by law.

Any information you submit through the Careers Site must be true, complete and not misleading. Submitting inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information may lead to a rejection of your application during the application process or disciplinary action including immediate termination of employment. In addition, it is your responsibility to ensure that information you submit does not violate any third party’s rights.

If you provide us with personal information of a reference or any other individual as part of your application, it is your responsibility to obtain consent from that individual prior to providing the information to us.

Information from Other Sources

We may obtain information about you from your references or from a background check report in connection with your application, as permitted by applicable law.

USE OF INFORMATION

The information that you submit on the Careers Site will be used for Vendavo’s global personnel recruitment, management and planning purposes, as permitted by local law, including:

  • To process your application;
  • To assess your capabilities and qualifications for a job;
  • To conduct reference checks;
  • To respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about your application, and to send you information regarding the Careers Site and changes to our terms and policies;

The information about you will be added to our international candidate database and may be used to consider you for opportunities at Vendavo. If we hire you, personal information we collect in connection with your application may be incorporated into our human resources system and may be used to manage the new-hire process; any such information may become part of your employee file and may be used for other employment-related purposes.

We may share personal information with affiliates that are involved in evaluating candidates for a given position. Vendavo, Inc. will remain responsible for personal information that is jointly used with affiliates. We will make the information available to personnel with a business need to know the information, including personnel in the recruiting, human resources, information technology, accounting, and legal departments, and in the departments responsible for the position for which you are applying and which interview you.

We may share personal information with our third-party service providers who provide services such as hosting and operating the Careers Site, recruiting assistance, background check processing, and similar services.

DATA RETENTION

We will retain personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. We may also retain your information for the purpose of considering whether your skills are suitable for other opportunities. If you do not wish us to do this, please email us at privacy@vendavo.com. We may remove personal information for inactive accounts from our database, subject to any applicable legal or regulatory obligations. Furthermore, Vendavo may delete personal information about you (including your CV/résumé) from our database at any time and without providing any reason. Therefore, please retain your own copy of the personal information provided to us.

PASSIVE INFORMATION COLLECTION: COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGY

ACCESS AND CORRECTION

If you register on the Careers Site, you may access, review, and change your personal information stored therein by logging into the Careers Site and updating your account information. Such changes may be visible to Vendavo. The updated profile will be used as the default the next time you apply for a job using your account online. To change personal information that you have already submitted for consideration for a specific position, please update your profile and resubmit your application for that position. We encourage you to promptly update your personal information if it changes or is inaccurate.

You may request access to personal information we collect, or its modification or suppression, where permitted by applicable law. Please email us at privacy@vendavo.com or contact us by mail at the address at the end of this policy, with any such requests. In your request, please make clear what personal information you would like to access or have changed, whether you would like to have personal information that you have provided to us suppressed from our database or otherwise let us know what limitations you would like to put on our use of your personal information. For your protection, we may only implement requests with respect to the information associated with the particular email address that you use to send us your request, and we may need to verify your identity before implementing your request. We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable. Please note that certain personal information may be exempt from such access, correction, or suppression rights pursuant to local data protection laws.

SECURITY

Vendavo hereby disclaims, to the extent permitted by local laws, any liability for itself and its affiliates and contractors for any personal information we collect in connection with your application that is lost, misused, illegally accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed or not timely delivered to our Careers Site.

LINKS TO THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES

The Careers Site may contain links to other websites. This Policy does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy, information or other practices of any third parties, including any third party operating any website or service to which the Careers Site links. ABOUT CHILDREN

The Careers Site is not intended for minors under the age of 18.

CURRENT PERSONNEL OF VENDAVO

If you currently work for Vendavo or one of our affiliates, you must be eligible to apply for a different position within Vendavo to use the Careers Site. If you accept such a position, your benefits programs and Human Resources policies may change. Please consult with the HR manager for the new position concerning application eligibility, benefit programs, and HR policies applicable to that position.

The Careers Site is not intended for distribution to, or use by, any person or entity in any jurisdiction or country where such distribution or use would be contrary to local law or regulation.

CHANGES TO THE POLICY

We reserve the right to amend this Policy at any time in order to address future developments of Vendavo, the Careers Site or changes in industry or legal trends or applicable law. We will post the revised Policy on the Careers Site or announce the change on the home page of the Careers Site. You can determine when the Policy was revised by referring to the “Last Updated” legend on the top of this Policy. Any changes will become effective upon the posting of the revised Policy on the Careers Site, except to the extent limited by applicable law.
